Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) has announced a competition for logo designing and tagline on the onset of its ‘Visit Maharashtra 2017’ campaign

Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) has announced a competition for logo designing and tagline on the onset of its ‘Visit Maharashtra 2017’ campaign. Under this initiative, MTDC will to showcase Maharashtra’s tourism growth story through a public platform. The competition will begin on August 18, 2017 and the last date to submit the entries is August 15, 2016.

The winning logo will be used for ‘Visit Maharashtra 2017’ campaign for a period of one year and the winning tagline will be a statement which will capture the mission and vision of Maharashtra Tourism on a long run. The competition will be valid for people residing across India and across all age categories. The applicants can share their artwork details and contest forms on [email protected]

Commenting on the announcement, Satish Soni, joint managing director, MTDC, said, “Through this competition, MTDC is putting bright design talent at the heart of its plan and is inviting the unexplored creative minds in India to design the official logo for ‘Visit Maharashtra 2017’ and a memorable tagline for Maharashtra Tourism. The winning design will become the official logo for the forthcoming themed year and will be used across multiple channels. The tag line will be used on a long run which will reflect the persona of Maharashtra. This competition will also give us an opportunity to discover a plethora of ideas coming from these creative minds.”

Swati Kale, general manager, MTDC, commented, “India is a powerhouse of creative talent. The competition is a great opportunity for a creative to add a design to their portfolio that has the potential to be seen by millions of people and become highly recognisable during the year with help of Maharashtra Tourism. The winner will also be able to see their logo design carried across a programme of major and special events due to take place throughout 2016.”

Prizes for the winners include a prize amount of INR 1 lakh in each category and a two nights and three days stay at a MTDC Resort.
