Jet Airways to relocate domestic operations to T2 from March 15

Jet Airways will relocate its domestic operations to Terminal 2 at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA) from March 15, 2016

T2Jet Airways will relocate its domestic operations to Terminal 2 at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA) from March 15, 2016. This migration is expected to lead to the integration of domestic and international flight operations in one terminal, resulting in free transfer experience for guests. Guests will be able to transfer from domestic to international flights within 75 minutes compared to an hour and 45 minutes currently, while international to domestic transfers will take 90 minutes compared to two hours currently.

Commenting on the migration, Gaurang Shetty, senior vice president – commercial, Jet Airways, said, “The integration of domestic and international operations at Terminal 2 will enable Jet Airways to transform Mumbai into a critical international transit hub. As one of the largest carriers operating out of Terminal 2, Jet Airways is best poised to offer its guests a superior travel experience together with seamless connectivity from India to the world.”

Spread across 4.4 million sq ft, the integrated Terminal 2 has 60 departure check-in counters and 80 arrival immigration counters capable of handling 40 million passengers annually.

Jet Airways’ guests can drive to the departure gates at level four through the Sahar elevated access road and enter the departure terminal from gate seven. Guests can either check-in online or at the self-service kiosk located near the entrance. They can also avail the 41 dedicated check-in counters manned by Jet Airways staff located between gates six and seven for departure formalities. Check-in counters for first and premiere guests for both domestic and international flights will be located at island ‘P’. Guests travelling in economy on domestic flights can proceed to island ‘K’, while those travelling economy on international flights can proceed to island ‘L’ for check-in. In addition, island ‘M’ will have exclusive check-in counters for guests holding JetPrivilege Platinum, Gold and Silver cards.

For Jet Airways guests arriving into Mumbai, prepaid taxi will be available at level 1. Access for private cars and hotel provided transport is available at level two. For three-wheelers and city bus services, guests will need to proceed to P6 at the multi-level car park on level two.
