Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) has launched its #DiscoverHongKong Stories campaign, to promote the destination among travellers through social media strategy. HKTB has also taken onboard some of the world’s top digital influencers, including travel influencer on Instagram, Beautiful Destinations; YouTube creators, the Fung brothers and EvanTubeHD; as well as Taiwanese TV host, Rima Zeidan, to attract more participation.

Visitors can submit photos and videos of their Hong Kong vacation to win daily and weekly prizes. Until April 24, 2016, visitors can win online shopping coupons and holiday packages to revisit Hong Kong by sharing the best discovery they made in the city. Participants will have to post photos or videos which reveal Hong Kong’s hidden attractions and experiences on selected social media platforms.

Anthony Lau, executive director, Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB), said, “Being the first Asian tourism board pioneering a partnership with world’s top influencers to promote destination, HKTB is at the cutting edge of social media by embracing the concept of ‘Social First’ to inspire travellers with powerful and unconventional content and perspectives. In this way, we can effectively reach a wider audience in more meaningful and impactful ways.”

Photos uploaded on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter and videos on Youtube or Vimeo will be judged based on their reflections of Hong Kong’s charm.
